Street Photography 101 Workshop

New to street photography?  Want to know some of the basics to get you started taking photos on the street?  Our street photography workshop provides you will the knowledge and skills to get you started. 

Duration: The workshop typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours.  Day and time to be arranged.

Instructor-led: There will be an experienced instructor to guide you through the process.

Structure: We start with a short introduction to street photography, covering essential concepts and techniques. Following this, we review camera settings tailored for capturing street photography images.

Photo walk: The highlight is a one-hour photowalk in downtown Vancouver, offering hands-on practice and the opportunity to apply what you've learned.

Wrap-up: The session concludes with a chat about your captured images, allowing for constructive feedback and discussion.

Feedback: We are more than happy to provide additional feedback via email after the workshop.

Advanced Techniques in Street Photography

Ongoing Practice Assignments

To enhance your journey in mastering street photography, we offer specially designed practice assignments that you can embark on independently. Recognizing that each photographer has unique aspirations and areas of interest, these assignments are  crafted to align with your individual goals

You'll receive a selection of tasks that range from capturing specific themes to experimenting with lighting and composition techniques. Each assignment comes with a set of objectives and tips, providing a clear direction while leaving ample room for creative exploration. Completing these tasks will not only refine your skills but also build your confidence as a street photographer.
